The Bissell House Bed and Breakfast in South Pasadena ranks among my favorite bed and breakfasts in California. Driving onto the beautifully manicured grounds of this striking Victorian home, I felt as if I'd discovered a private oasis in another era. Seven rooms are available at Bissell House, and a full gourmet vegetarian breakfast is served each morning in the dining room.

Historic Indiana Home Now an Inn

The historic Irwin Home and Gardens in Columbus, Indiana, about 45 miles south of Indianapolis, is now a bed and breakfast. The 1864 home, originally built by a prominent banker and businessman, was bought by Jim and Eve Jackson, along with their daughter and her husband, Jessica and Chris Stevens, for $1.25 million and turned into a bed and breakfast.

B&B 60 Feet Over the Ocean?

An abandoned Coast Guard tower 60 feet above the ocean and 25 miles off the coast of North Carolina will become a one-of-a-kind bed and breakfast if new owner Richard Neal has his way. Neal won the Frying Pan Shoals Light Tower at an auction in May for $85,000, according to an article in The Charlotte Observer.
