The Bed and Breakfast Innkeepers of Colorado (BBIC) is holding its 24th annual B&B conference on November 7 and 8, 2010. The first day includes an eight-hour workshop for aspiring innkeepers, with a $99 registration fee that also includes breakfast, lunch, and opportunities for networking. The second day ($25 for BBIC members, $50 for non-members) includes numerous presentations and discussions for current innkeepers, many focused on the theme of "surviving and thriving in this economic climate." The conference will be held at the Antlers Hilton in downtown Colorado Springs. |

Guests at the Totten Trail Historic Inn in Fort Totten, North Dakota, sleep in rooms furnished in the period style of 1870 to 1910 while staying on a historic site that has been described as "the best preserved military fort of the frontier era west of the Mississippi River." The innkeepers at The IvyWild Inn in Wenatchee, Washington, take the cooking part of their job very seriously. In addition to providing breakfast to their guests, Richard and Ashley Kitos run a catering business and teach regular cooking classes. And they're working to open a 50-seat restaurant. In a recent profile in The Wenatchee World, Richard said, "We both love preparing and serving food in all sort of different ways." |

The Fairthorne Cottage Bed and Breakfast in Cape May, New Jersey, is serving as Cape May's sixth annual Designer Show House now through January 2, 2011. The first floor of the 19th century house is open for daily self-guided tours ($10 per adult and $7 per child). The upper floor will remain open for B&B guests. | Victorian Inn Opens to Ghost Hunters |

A Victorian bed and breakfast in Cape May, New Jersey, is offering guests the chance to participate in an 90-minute "ghost hunting experience." The program at Elaine's Bed and Breakfast is available on select dates through the summer, including August 6, 7, 27 and 28. Additionally, two Ghost Hunter Weekends are scheduled for October 22-24 and November 5-7. |
